The filter is cone shaped based on Size #4, which fits 8-12 cup makers. Though, we love it because the cloth easily folds down to accommodate a wide variety of sizes.

First Use: Submerge your filter in boiled water to reduce any foreign fibers from the sewing process.

General use: Hand wash (recommended without detergent)rinse clean with warm water after every use

After Each Use: it helps to hand wash soon after using to reduce staining. Coffee will add natural staining (which some love!).  It's recommended that you wash your reusable filter only with water (no detergent/soap) to eliminate the chance that you may not wash out all soap.  Nobody wants a mouth full of suds in your fresh brew.

To Dry: Hang dry, machine tumble, or lay flat
