This reclaimed teak soap holder is made from the handrail of the USNS Simon Bolivar Buckner which was retired in 1990 and sold for scrap in 1997. Teak is naturally resistant to mold and water damage which makes and ideal material to hold a bar of soap, a sponge, or scrub-brush. This holder drains the water from your soap to keep it firm which will extend the life of your bars.
